At Tidestick Consulting, we don’t believe in following the traditional lines that separate IT from the Business. We help you transform to a Business Aligned IT Enterprise.
Business-IT Alignment is the correspondence between the Business objectives and the Information Technology requirements of an Enterprise. These two factors often seem to contradict, but many economic and technical experts agree that alignment between them, maintained over time, is crucial to the success of an Enterprise.
Business-IT Alignment involves optimizing communication between executives who make the business decisions and IT managers who oversee the technical operations. The implementation of flexible business plans and IT architectures, as well as effective cost allocation, are critical components of any business-IT alignment effort. Technical department managers can formulate and submit proposals that are tailored to ensure the optimum return on investment (ROI). Business executives can attend IT department meetings and seminars to improve their understanding of the technical capabilities and limitations of the Enterprise.
The cornerstone to all Tidestick Consulting Services is the Strategic Capabilities Network Method which assures the alignment of IT with the Business.
MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS (BI)
Information isn’t worth much if it doesn’t serve a purpose. Tidestick Consulting can help you unlock the value in data to provide efficiency and effectiveness of strategic decision making.
SYSTEMS AND APPLICATION INTEGRATION
Tidestick Consulting provides feasibility studies for Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) from a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) perspective.
Cloud Computing may or may not be cost effective for every workload in your IT Infrastructure. Tidestick Consulting will help with a cloud computing cost evaluation.
Old software. Duplicate software. Multiple brands of the same software. Open Source software. Software-as-a-Service. Tidestick Consulting will help sort out the software.
Tidestick Consulting will introduce your IT organization to the latest application development methods and technologies such as NodeJS, no-SQL and more.
MODERNIZATION AND REUSE
Do you have business critical IT functions that are on legacy (old) systems, built with antiquated programming techniques and languages? Tidestick Consulting will help define a modernization strategy.
BUSINESS CONTINUITY, RESILIENCY, DISASTER RECOVERY
When an unforeseen incident occurs, will your business be able to seamlessly service customers? Tidestick Consulting will help you plan for the unthinkable.
At Tidestick Consulting, we use the Strategic Capabilities Network (SCN) Method.
The Strategic Capabilities Network (SCN) Method documents the Enterprise’s capabilities
required to support value propositions, objectives and strategic initiatives. These are then decomposed into the capabilities the Enterprise needs to have to fulfill the business objectives. These capabilities are then decomposed into the resources required to perform the needed capabilities. The resources are a combination of the processes, knowledge, organization and technology assets of the firm.
The TOGAF® standard is employed through every step of our method.
